Sardonic is a good way to describe this Saturday!

Sardonic, is a good way to describe this Saturday. For a week BoM has predicting hot temperatures for this long weekend and now its here there is a 20% chance of a thunderstorm in the Hinterland this afternoon and next to zero chance everywhere else. *sigh* Hope no one planned any outdoor parties for this evening... So get out and enjoy this glorious morning, for this evening, its gonna rain!
The Men's Shed will be open at 9am for those that missed the excitement of the rumoured attempt to split the atom with a can opener during week. Apparently the hammer and chisel are the current preferred tools of choice for this task. BYO atom. Hammer and chisel provided! Tea and bikkies at 10.30am to chat about the results.

While the sun is out shining hard this morning, before turning those clouds into a thunderstorm, pop down to the courts behind the hall. The Springbrook Tennis Club often meet there for a hit on Saturday mornings!
Busy day tomorrow, as it's the first Sunday of the month. There is a  Catholic Church Mass at 11am at 653 Pine Creek Rd. Just drop in.

The Numinbah Valley Markets are on too. 8am to 1pm at the Numinbah hall. Great little markets on our back doorstep. Pop down for a yummy bbq breakfast!

Following on from the successful open mic on Fathers Day, the Sunday Afternoon People will be at the Springbrook Cafe and Bar on Forestry Rd 1pm to 3pm again this Sunday for another Open Mic. Call Cath on 0423 414 073 if you'd like to perform!
Also its Grand Final night for some sport or other that's a big deal for some people.  There will be pies and sausage rolls and the TV game along with other like minded supporters and a few beers at the Springbrook Cafe and Bar. Kick off at 7pm, open till 10pm. Go the Wallabies?! Have a great weekend celebrating Liz's birthday, whether the weather be hot, or whether the weather be cold. We'll weather the weather, whatever the weather, whether we like it or not!
Its ironicly humorous that our anticipated long hot weekend now has the only thunderstorm in the district predicted.

You just gotta love the way Springbrooks weather is always contrary to what Bureau's meteorologists think it will be! 💚Springbrook
