It's a thermic Thursday!

It's a thermic Thursday outside to today with the temperature predicted to get from 28° today through to the thirties after the weekend. What happened to Spring? What happened to gently thawing out after Winter? Looks like mid summer is here in the second month of spring!

The Springbrook Men's Shed opens at 9am and apparently the boys are gonna see if they can split an atom with a can opener this morning. Not sure if they have an atom or a can opener between them but if you see smoke in that direction this morning - flee!

A more restorative activity would be Yoga with Helen, 9am at her studio, 1947 Springbrook Rd this morning if you dont want to play with atoms or can openers. Relax and stretch in the studio looking out on all the trees. Bliss!

Simon is running Perisai Diri Silat tonight at 6pm at the Hall. Pop in and check it out if you havent before. It's an Indonesian martial art that will have you fit in no time!

Remember the road closure tonight on the front road for all those who wont be back on the mountain by 8pm tonight. Should be open again at 5am Friday morning.

Don't forget there's seed bank activities happening tomorrow at 10am at Gina's place. The Numinbah Markets are on this Sunday down at their hall from 8am and that it's a long weekend to celebrate Liz Windsors Birthday, so enjoy your Monday public holiday and long weekend!

Got your tickets for the Canyon Concert of Strings under a Full Moon on October 11th? Not many left now as it's a limited seating event. Check out the Springbrook Gastronomic and Arts Society facebook page for details!

Stay cool over the next few days as the thermometer rises nearly 10° in the next week or so. We should have a busy long weekend up here on the mountain with both NSW and the Queenland school holidays coinciding with hot weather and Queens birthday long weekend. Watch out for tourists driving, parking and walking on the roads this weekend!

With some dry weather on it's way, watch out for spider webs today... When dew is on the grass,
Rain will not come to pass.

See you there!
💚Springbrook
