The Springbrook Community Notices

What a night at Trivia! Put Feb 25th in your diary now for next year and get along to one of the best nights out on the mountain. Great fun, so many laughs, fantastic crowd! πŸ’š the Springbrook School P&C for what you do. Can't wait for next year!

Wow! Who put the boxes in the Emporium for the clothes! May blessings fall upon you in abundance! Brilliant! Thank you to the unseen team who spend time in there every week keeping this fantastic community asset working so well. We πŸ’š you guys so much! Now, please, leave the boxes there and take the clothes out!!

The painted playground was indeed a sign that the new playground is not immanent as we thought. Jan 2023 is what we heard from Glenn's office during the week!

The lights on the slip on the Front road have been taken out in favour of pushing the barriers back to make a skinny 2 lane road. Ambos, got that location in your gps? Bet you head down there on the next sunny tourist day! Take it nice and easy around that area!

Anyone got room for Arnie in their lives? A super friendly Great Dane needs a temporary home for 2-3 weeks while Mum and Dad move. Contact us if you can help.

BoM and the Baleirie are convinced there is a ton of rain heading our way. Good time to make sure you have enough medicines etc just in case we lose a road or Mudgeeraba goes under again.

Hoons can be reported with dashcam or phone footage via the Police website. Grab a video of the boy racers on their way down the hill next time, upload it and head off to bed knowing a nice officer will soon be knocking on their door! 😁

Lots of things to give away and for sale on our very own Springbrook Buy, Sell and Swap Facebook page. Check it out asap!

Got a new produce stall, Homebrook Farm, on SB Rd past the turn off to Velvet Downs Rd. Open weekends with produce from Chillingham including bread. Check it out today!

Looks like new camera are going in at the tip. We heard to catch off the hill tradies illegally dumping so have a think before you visit!

Mums! Hire the hall for a couple of hours in the holiday's if it's raining and have a playdate. πŸ€—

Bit disappointed with the people who threw all the clothes on the ground at the Emporium... Bit disrespectful for the people who went to the trouble of cleaning it all up for us. Furniture needs to go near the main bins like it used to NOT in the shed please....

The Springbrook Community Notices

The Front Road (also known as the Gold Coast Springbrook Road) is OPEN for business. It's still got slips on it and work to be done with stop go lights, but it can be used. If you're a cyclist, it's not going to be a good idea to try it this weekend. There's rocks and cars dodging rocks everywhere...

Both Causeways are clear and open for 7se, but as always, take it easy. There's lots of damage yet to be spotted and assessed and you don't want to find it by accident...

All our cafes are open and mask free today! Yay! Pop in and grab a cuppa or some lunch and say hi. They would love to see you. It's been a rough few weeks for them!

It's the last weekend for the Gem Shop at their Forestry Rd location! They are moving up to Repeater Station Road but will take a few weeks to get organised. Drop in and bag a bargain today!

Mould is a huge problem for some of us, especially those who got flooded. Drying out the house and keeping it dry is the key. Wipe up mould with vinegar and then keep the airflows and the humidity down!

Remember, it's uncool and illegal to let your pets roam. Cats are especially emotive as they like to hunt. Check on your furbabies and make sure they stay home!

If you've been wanting to help out in the floods, consider joining the SES. Our group meets on Tuesday nights at 7pm at the Shed behind the hall. Drop in and say hi. If you sign up and do the training, you'll get to play with the really cool toys!

Got your Emily McGuire tickets? ONLY available online at www.emilymaguire.com It's not far away and there's not many tickets in the first place!

Put March 12th in your diary if you like to go to Gardening Club meetings!

March 23rd is the next weedbuster meeting 9am at the Settlement.

We have a guest speaker coming to talk about National Hearing Week at the SMCA meeting on Wednesday 7.15pm at the hall, and how to get a free hearing test for those who might need one. Good meeting to attend if you've been thinking the other half needs one! πŸ˜€

Don't forget to put our Anzac Day Dawn Service, community parade and 10am service in your diary! πŸ’

Stay safe. Stay sane.
