Don't forget, it's the coppers favorite day to pop up and say gidday! *Order local greens and produce for Monday from Sophie's Stall. *Keep an eye out for local artist Damo and drop in for a chat and buy some art work. *Road side stall day including the community seed bank seedlings and the sustainable fashion shop at Sophie's stall. Have a look around to see who's open today. We also have stalls at Echo Valley, the Sanctuary, Sharon's Stall, Velvet Downs, Greenwood Farm, plus The Emporium and the two Book Nooks. Please use the farm stalls honesty box system, honestly. Most of them have a phone number displayed and are happy to give bank account or PayPal type details if you're desperate and cashless. Please don't ruin our fabulous farm stall system by not being honest... Springbrook Voices is being delivered. The Springbrook Community Library will be open on TUESDAY February 23rd from 10am to 2pm, rain or shine! Please drop off books for donating and come and get some rainy day reading! Springbrook Community Food Growers aka the garden club is meeting on Saturday, February 27th 2pm to 4pm at the Mens Shed. Bring a plate to share and seeds, cuttings, produce, jams etc to swap, sell or give away. Gold coin donation entry. Raffles. Another one day silent retreat is planned for Saturday February 27th at the hall. 10am to 3pm. All the details at www.karaswift.com.au With the rain and wind predicted on Tuesday, it might pay to make sure you are linked into the local disaster management facebook page and text info. All the details in Springbrook Voices. Lots of copies of the latest edition of Springbrook Voices are being delivered to the deliverers now! Keep an eye on your letterbox , they should start arriving in the next few days! The SES is always looking for new members. With the weather continuing to bucket down, its going to be a great group tto belong to to help when things go pear shaped. Tuesdays, 7pm to 9pm. Just turn up. Springbrook Community Notices. The first ever, Springbrook Weedbusting event is on today, 8am to 10am at the Settlement. Spend your Valentines Day giving our Mountain home a bit of loving today. Kids welcome. Byo water, gloves, hat, boots and morning tea! The Fudge Shop Faeries are off to their annual convention on Monday so the shop will be closed Monday 15th to Thursday 18th Feb. Open again on Friday! Are the cars over the edge on Pine Creek Road still bothering you? They are certainly upsetting our emergency personnel... Feel free to prod council by emailing them on division9@goldcoastqld.gov.au and letting them know, it's time to go! Get educated on the about to be released Cableway feasibility study by doing a Google search and checking out the various websites on the topic. Lots of environmental websites about Springbrook are out there on the net. If you are into the environment,  these websites could be helpful. Many of them have social media pages too. Save our Waterfalls, Springbrook Wildlife Appreciation Group, Save our Springbrook, Cableway No way, WaterGum, Wild Care Australia, QPWS. Petes Forestry Rd Shop will have the fryer on on Friday and Saturday nights for Fish and Chips! Springbrook Community Notices. Today, letter writing and social Media workshop to help people write effective posts and letters about their opposition to the Cableway. 9.30am at Dancing Waters Cafe. Free. Just buy a coffee! SMCA general meeting, Wednesday, Feb 10th, 7.15pm at the hall. All welcome. Remember, only financial members can propose a motion and vote. Bring your $5 and someone with you to enjoy our often amusing meetings and enjoy a cuppa and a few biscuits! Ladies Lunch this Friday, Feb 12th, 12pm at a location yet to be revealed. All ladies welcome. Lovely chance to catch up, chat and enjoy the company of other mountain ladies. Buy your own lunch, cuppa or a snack. Just turn up or let Kay know you plan to come.
