A seasonal Saturday!

A seasonal Saturday! Only 4 Saturdays before Christmas so it's a great time to take out the tinsel! Tomorrow is December 1st. The first official day of Summer, Storm Season and the Silly Season.

BoM is still predicting rain(ish) stuff falling from the sky in undetectable quantities today as well as a storm for tomorrow lunchtime. The chance of the storm hitting us are greatly increased this time - The Numinbah markets are on tomorrow...

To start the first Saturday of the silly season we have the Mens Shed open at 9am for escaping house decorating, tree decorating and having to wear Christmas themed tshirts. The Mens Shed is a tinsel free zone (at this point) and men are welcome to escape to its bare and undecorated environs today!

The Springbrook Tennis Club often meet for a hit at the courts behind the hall. Pop a bit of tinsel on your racket and come down for some fun. The courts are getting an overhaul over the next few months that should be ready for the rains in March.

Springbrook Gastronomic and Arts Society French themed long table dinner, 7pm at the hall has sold out! Check their facebook page for details.

SUNDAY December 1st!
*4th Sunday. Anglican Church service, 10.30am at the Observatory.
*Sunday Afternoon People meet to make music and have fun, Call Cath on 0423 414 073
*Numinbah Valley Twilight Christmas Markets. 2pm to 7pm. Local goods, local vendors. Great place to spend a  Sunday Summer afternoon.

Start being seasonal. It's a great Saturday for starting the silly season. Does your tree go up today? Or are you a first of December tree putter upperer? Dont let your outside decorations get into the environment or put up bowerbird attracting blue bits. We dont need to add anything to the rubbish the tourists manage to scatter around over our patch of Paradise over Summer. Especially while our forests and wildlife are under so much pressure from the lack of rain and fires.

Be seasonal. Be silly. Be Summery. It's the perfect Saturday to do it all!!

See you there!
💚Springbrook
