Welcome to My Springbrook. A website made by locals for new locals to help them find their way around the mountain.
Springbrook isn't an easy place to live in. We are far from many conveniences, have intermittent internet power and phone connections, but it is a glorious place to live and you have great neighbours as well!
We are a small community where relationships are pretty important for those times when you need help fast or just need the proverbial cup of sugar. Springbrookians (as we are known) are generally a good bunch of people and are mostly great people with a few rough diamonds thrown into the mix to liven things up a bit!
We have a few artists, a number of nationally recognised musicians, potters, leather workers, woodworkers and other artistic people that help keep us uplifted and give us great Christmas presents to give to special people. We also have lots of people who love the environment and look after our flora and fauna with tree plantings, weed removal, wild care and education. No matter where you look, you'll find people who are passionate about our natural environment. We are fond of a gathering up here and you'll find plenty of friendly people at groups like the Men's Shed, our craft group, through our Ladies Lunches and Community Cuppas and the infamous Gourmet Afternoon Tea Club that advertises it self as the local garden club. The gardens are great but the afternoon tea is even better at these events!
We hope that you will join in with community events at the hall or the school, join a group, sport or club and catch up with others at the markets or tip and make your connections in the community and get the most of living up here.
Start your time in Springbrook by checking out the info that we have in our pages, make a few friends and meet your neighbours. We have a number of Facebook pages that help information flow through the community and work well as our 450 houses are spread out over the mountain and we might not see each other ever day. We encourage you to look at them all and join the ones that appeal!
