A mushy Monday underfoot!

A Mushy Monday underfoot after all that RAIN in the weekend. Isnt it wonderful! We got more rain in two days that we've had in two months.
Thank you to the people who took the initiative and organised water deliveries,  twilight markets and outdoor dancing events. Theres a combanation that induces water to fall from the sky in great quantities!

22mm at Purlingbrook from yesterdays deluge. Hailstones at Appletree flat reported. Tree hit by lightning at Water trough. What else did we get? The power managed to stay on but our landlines seem to be playing up even more. The phones are going to be a rack or programming issue at the exchange as it's so random. Call Telstra and put the pressure on them to come and deal with it.

Mushy Mondays still have lots to do on them. It's still School Library Day and what a great day to read a book!

Playgroup at the school will still be on despite the first time a few of these babies will have seen a storm! Only a couple more to go before term ends so make sure you make these next two weeks! 9am to 11.30am at All littilies and their adults welcome.

Community Cuppa, Dancing Waters Cafe, 10.30am TODAY!! Just turn up, talk to anybody, drink coffee, eat cake. A perfect mushy Monday activity!

Yoga at the Hall, 6pm tonight where wet feet are welcome. Come and relax! With water in the tanks and our fairy lights in the hall, Mondays dont get any better for our mountain yogis!

Seen any thing Council needs to know about after the storms? Let them know on division9@goldcoast.qld.gov.au

Rejoice in the rain. It looks a bit intermittent between now and the end of January.  Not our usual steady rains and summer storms this year. Create your storm season plan and hook into the Springbrook LMDC facebook page and text messaging system.  If you thought they were good at fires, wait till you see them manage a storm!

Get out and enjoy the dripping trees, the puddles and the rain on your drivers seat cause you left the car window open... when was the last time leaving your car window open a crack turned it into a swimming pool? All part of the aftermath of a bit of decent rain.

Puddles. Water. Dripping. Bliss.

See you there!
💚Springbrook
