The Springbrook Community Notices

Weedbusters weed workshop on at the hall today, 9am to 11am with Dr Melinda Laws from the Qld Herbalism. Come along and learn from an expert about local weeds and hoe to eradicate them!

Springbrook Voices deadline is rapidly approaching! Monday May 10th. Get those fingers to the keyboard and start tapping!

Lots of environmental websites about Springbrook are out there on the net. If you are into the environment,  these websites could be helpful. Many of them have social media pages too. Save our Waterfalls, Springbrook Wildlife Appreciation Group, Save our Springbrook, Cableway No way, WaterGum, Wild Care Australia, QPWS.

Local Botanist Lui Webber has published a book on rare plants in our corner of the world. Check out his Amazon listing and get yours today!

Are you hearing the helicopters over our waterfalls recently? There is concern that these flights don't have permits to fly over our World Heritage Area and could be breaking the law, disturbing our forest and destroying our local peace and serenity.  If you hear them, please log their time and duration on the SMCAs daily post so we can log them.

The Springbrook Mens Shed is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9amish to 1pmish with morning tea 10.30ish. They operate on mountain time! If you're a bloke on the mountain and you havent dropped in to see the biggest shed in this small village, then make a date to do that this week and see what all the fuss is about. You'll be most welcome!

Hall bookings for your event, group, meeting or gathering are open for 2021. Call the hall manager on 0413979271 to book. Only $13 per hour for locals!

Stay safe. Get involved.
