The Springbrook Community Notices

The Emporium is looking pretty rough at the moment. With the amount of people doing the right thing, do you begin to wonder if the mess is being made deliberatly? Hold fire on your clothes donations. We should be getting a clothing bin in a couple of weeks which might just solve the problem!

It's the last week of school for term 2 this year. Holidays start on Friday! The learning fair is on after school on Tuesdsy, reports are emailed Wednesday and the treat for the term is a FREE DRESS day on Friday!  What a week, what a term, what a year so far!

Our Community Cuppa is on this week, Friday, 10.30am at the Fudge Shop.  Come along and catch up with everyone and enjoy a cuppa in the sun shine this month!

There seems to be trouble with the footpath. It looks like there's not enough funding to give us a foot path as well as a bridge, so we will have two foot paths that lead to a vehicular causeway. That leaving a lot of us scratching our heads asking, really? 🤔 We need to have a chat with TMR and Council to see what can be done about this!

The Winter Solstice is coming up on June 20th/21st. It will be our longest night or shortest day. How will you mark the occasion? With a sleep in?

The Springbrook Community Food Growers are meeting on July 2nd at Gina's place 2pm to 4pm. Check out their Facebook page and join in tbe garden talk over there!

Have you read your Springbrook Voices and your Hinterlander cover to cover yet? There's lots off local stories, gossip and information in them and they make perfect reading with a hot cuppa. Didn't get one delivered? Pop into a Cafe and grab one from there!

Have you been up to the Gem Shop lately? It changes every week as they find new stock and figure out where to put things. Mel's there at the coffee van with hot drinks and yummy snacks. Open Friday to Monday, 10am to 4pm!

Making a report to Policelink on 131444 if you have issues with hoons or speedsters on the road is pretty painless. Pop the number in your phone and report it when you see it!

Did you know we have a number of Defibrillators in Springbrook? They are located:
With the Amulance and some First Responders,
In the Fire Shed plus the fire trucks
At the school
Inside the Community Hall
Over at the Men's Shed
And theres one at Greenwood Farm
Always call 000 for emergencies but it's good to know where they are when you need one. If you know of a location of another one, please.let us know!

Stay safe. Stay on your side of the road.
💚 living in Springbrook
