The Front Road (also known as the Gold Coast Springbrook Road) is OPEN for business. It's still got slips on it and work to be done with stop go lights, but it can be used. If you're a cyclist, it's not going to be a good idea to try it this weekend. There's rocks and cars dodging rocks everywhere...
Both Causeways are clear and open for 7se, but as always, take it easy. There's lots of damage yet to be spotted and assessed and you don't want to find it by accident...
All our cafes are open and mask free today! Yay! Pop in and grab a cuppa or some lunch and say hi. They would love to see you. It's been a rough few weeks for them!
It's the last weekend for the Gem Shop at their Forestry Rd location! They are moving up to Repeater Station Road but will take a few weeks to get organised. Drop in and bag a bargain today!
Mould is a huge problem for some of us, especially those who got flooded. Drying out the house and keeping it dry is the key. Wipe up mould with vinegar and then keep the airflows and the humidity down!
Remember, it's uncool and illegal to let your pets roam. Cats are especially emotive as they like to hunt. Check on your furbabies and make sure they stay home!
If you've been wanting to help out in the floods, consider joining the SES. Our group meets on Tuesday nights at 7pm at the Shed behind the hall. Drop in and say hi. If you sign up and do the training, you'll get to play with the really cool toys!
Got your Emily McGuire tickets? ONLY available online at www.emilymaguire.com It's not far away and there's not many tickets in the first place!
Put March 12th in your diary if you like to go to Gardening Club meetings!
March 23rd is the next weedbuster meeting 9am at the Settlement.
We have a guest speaker coming to talk about National Hearing Week at the SMCA meeting on Wednesday 7.15pm at the hall, and how to get a free hearing test for those who might need one. Good meeting to attend if you've been thinking the other half needs one! 😀
Don't forget to put our Anzac Day Dawn Service, community parade and 10am service in your diary! 💐
Stay safe. Stay sane.
💚 living in Springbrook
