The Springbrook Community Notices

Springbrook Community Notices

Don't forget the SMCA general meeting this Wednesday 7.15pm at the hall. Wrap up warm and come and hear the behind the scenes stuff you won't read on social media!! All resident welcome.

Numinbah Valley Rural Fire Brigade is having their Busy Bee at their Fire Shed on Saturday. Feel free to pop down and give them a hand to tidy and sort stuff. Sausage sizzle for those who turn up!

The Trash & Treasure Garage Sale Trail is happening again on the weekend of May 22 and 23. Register your Garage Sale for maximum exposure on springbrookhall@gmail.com and we will complie a list and publish it a day or so before so we can all plan our treasure hunting!!

The hall will close on Monday for at least three weeks while she gets some preventative maintainance done. The public amenities out the back will be closed during the working hours as well. Watch out for truck and workers if you're using the tennis court and Skate Park especially!

Lots of people on the roads today as they head for the hills for a Mothers Day morning tea. Keep your speed down so our volunteer emergency crews can have a few hours at home before the first call out today, please!

The Gem Shop on Forestry Rd still has lots of Mothers Day goodies if you haven't already been in and got something!

Check out the size of the cane toad on the SWAG page yesterday. Bit disturbing to find them as far up the hill as Canyon. There are good ways to manage cane toads. Check out Watergums website and see if you can keep them out of your neighbourhood and away from the National Park...

The Springbrook Voices Community Newspaper deadline is tomorrow! Get your articles, ads and contributions in today or tomorrow so it can get to the printers this week. Lots of really good community stuff coming in all ready. Make sure one of those pages has your contribution on it!

The Warrie circuit is still closed for those thinking of walking it this weekend. Due to open May 14th weather permitting.

Thank to the people reporting helicopters at the moment. It's incredible how many are flying over a world heritage listed National Park illegally...
