Are we in for a wet Wednesday?

Are we in for a wet Wednesday? The Bureau is saying a 70% chance of 4mm around lunchtime today with showers for the rest of the week...

Craft today at the hall. Starting at 10am the crafty ladies meet to do their crafty things and chat. If you're thinking of coming along today, bring $3 to cover the hall hire and maybe a plate of morning tea to share.  A lovely morning to spend doing your favorite craft and chatting with our marvelous mountain ladies!

The Springbrook Community Library will be open this afternoon from 3pm to 4pm so you can look at kids books, cook books, craft books and novels. Novels, novels, and more novels are on the shelves of our wee library so if you're looking for something to read on the predicted rainy days ahead, this is your chance to grab them!

Numinbah Valley markets are on this Sunday at their hall 8am to 1pm. New markets that are nice and close to us making it a do-able trip rather than a day trip! Worth the visit for breakfast and a wander, they have all sorts of things on offer from jumping castles to chooks, baskets to baby clothes, artworks to bric a brac. Turn up and be surprised!

After you've done the Numinbah Valley markets,  pop down to Country Paradise and check out the Botanical Bazzar! Open 9am to 4pm it's a Gardeners dream festival. All sorts of plants, talks and demonstrations,  it looks like a great day for plant lovers. $15 for adults. Lots of info on line.

Have a wonderful, potentially wet Wednesday. Enjoy the change in temperature,  watch out for echidnas crossing the roads and listen to the birds sometime today!

See you there!

Such a stunning Sunday!

Such a stunning Sunday here in Paradise after a great performance last night from the mountains musicians!! A fantastic night of community music in our mountain hall. All generations attended. The fairy lights were on. People were dancing. The music varied. The hum of chatter never stopped. Lots of hugs, high fives and smiles. And on top of that, each performer is some one special to us!
Thank you to the Sunday Afternoon People and Colin for organising such a great night for us *Standing Ovation*. Thanks to all the performers who put in the practice and rehearsals. Thanks to the Springbrook and Numinbah communities for showing up in force and having a good time!
The Sunday Afternoon People are going to be the Sunday Morning People today as they clean up the hall this morning. Dont think there is a jam session today but if you're keen, call Cath and see what she says!
Lotsa pictures later in the day... stay tuned!
Have a stunning Sunday! 💚Springbrook

A festive Friday to start the weekend!

A festive Friday to start the weekend with! Still predictions of clouds and showers but that seems to mean it's just a touch warmer rather than it's actually raining! Have you noticed the sunsets are getting a little later each day? 5.13pm at the moment. 5.17pm by the end of the week.

We've got our monthly community cuppa today! 10.30am at Greenwood Farm. Its held at a different venue on the last Friday of the month and is a great chance to catch up with what's happening on the mountain. If you've never been, pop in and grab a cuppa and say hi. Always a chatty friendly bunch. Great way for new residents to get to know their neighbours and other Springbrookians!

Our amazing AA group is meeting st 4.30pm today at the hall. If you need the 12 step program or a bit of support around drinking, then these are the people for you. Just turn up and they will take it from there!

Music in the Round tomorrow night. Looks like it's going to be a great night of community music. Great line up of locals, from the Donaldson kids right through to that Geratrix down at the fudge shop! Bring something to eat at the table, a drink and be ready to clap and join in. It's not the slickest concert you'll ever go to but it's great fun and just a gold coin donation!

See you there!
