The Springbrook Community Notices

The SMCA AGM will be held on November the 8th 7:15 p.m. at the hall. Nominations for all committe position have been called and are now closed. Nominations have been posted on the hall notice board. Please come to the AGM and contribute to and hear about plans for 2024!

Melbourne Cup Lunch! 12pm at the Springbrook Cafe and Bar. Race at 2pm on tbe big screen! Hats compulsory! Sweeps available!

Ladies Lunch, 12pm second Friday of the month at the English Gardens. All ladies welcome!

The CoGC Mobile Library will be at Numinbah School from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Monday! Great library. Fantastic librarians! Pop in and see them!

Lamb orders from Messines Farm must be in by Nov 18th. Order from their Web page. Pick up on Springbrook at Kieran's place.

The Schools Homework Club has started up again at the school this term. Make sure you fill in the forms and return them if you want to join in all the fun after school!

Fitness classes are running at Valentina's place in Gwongarella Parade, 7am Mon, Wed and Fri. $20 per class. First lesson complimentary!

Wing Chung Kung Fu classes are at the hall on Thursdays!  4.30pm kids classes. 5.30pm for adults, both at the hall. Contact Gill on 0412 306 029 for more info!

A Social Painting Group now meets TUESDAY nights, 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the hall. Byo Painting equipment,  a plate to share and a gold coin for hall hire. Enquires to Dominique or just turn up!

The Springbrook Darts Club meets on Wednesday nights at the Springbrook Cafe and Bar on Forestry Rd from 6pm. All welcome.

Fire ants are on the GC, so we need everyone’s help to get rid of them. They may be small, but fire ants could destroy our outdoor lifestyle and make our backyards, playgrounds and parks unusable. Grab your free fire ant treatment kits to treat your property and protect your family, even if you haven't spotted any fire ants there. Spring is a good time to take up Tennis! The Springbrook Tennis Club meets on Sundays at 9 a.m. at the courts behind the hall. Just turn up!

Check out and join the new Facebook page called "I saw it at the Emporium" to let people know what goodies are on offer at our beloved Emporium when you visit!

Fire wood is available from the Echo Valley Farm Stall on Lyrebird Ridge Road along with jams, produces, sauces and kindling!

Springbrook Weedbusters learn more about the environment and pull weeds the third Sunday of the month. 9am to 11am at the Settlement Day use area. Just turn up!

Lots of road works around on the way to Nerang still... Prepare for a 10 minute stop each time you fonnd one when come and go from the mountain...

Garden Club meet 2pm to 4pm on the first Saturday of the month.  Next meeting is Dec 3rd. Details on the Springbrook Community Food Growers facebook page.

Dance Classes for children are on at the Hall on Wednesdays during the school term after school. 4pm $15 just turn up!

Our Community Cuppa is on the last Friday of the month at 10.30am at a local Cafe. All welcome!

The Springbrook Mountain Markets are on the the 4th Sunday of the month, 10am to 2pm at the Fudge Shop! Food truck, coffee, music, stalls. Great day out without leaving the mountain!
