The Springbrook Community Notices

Lots of Power outages this week as Energex upgrade our wiring and poles. The big note we got the other day says a lot of the hour long outages could only be minutes as the change over generators. Still be prepared for longer cuts, just in case!!

Merv is fine! Bit of concern when we saw a postie looking person on a bike delivering mail but it was just the Energex Contractor delivering more info!

Watch out for lane closures, big trucks and Energex workers all over the mountain in the next fortnight while they do the upgrades!

Don't forget to pick up your PIE ORDER on Tuesday afterschool, 3pm to 4pm!

Springbrook Voices deadline is next Saturday! The early bird gets the best spots!

The Clothing Bins have arrived at the Emporium! If you have good quality clothes that need a new home, pop them in one of the FOUR blue LifeLine Bins to the right of the Emporium and know you are doing the right thing!

The Emporium is pretty full at the moment so lots of treasurers to be had! Pop up for a visit. You never know what you will find! Remember, if you see rubbish in the Emporium, just chuck it out!!

Springbrook Voices AGM will be in September,  exact date to be decided. It would be good to have new people on the committee. No editorial work required. Just a coffee and a chat four times a year!

TMR reckon they will have an update on our road early next week! They have pictures and info about what's happening and assured us that work is being done on the road. Check out the new security cameras at each end and know they are serious about prosecuting unauthorised people come onto the site.

Express Yourselves Kids is a new after school program running after school from 3.15pm to 5.15pm on Mondays at the hall. It's $12.50 per child and they will do fun activities like games, dance, music, and craft, as well as afternoon tea. Call Laurelle on 0431 952 037 for more info or to enrol.

Stay safe. Get involved.
