Springbrook Community Notices

We should start to see changes up at our tip in the next few weeks. Have a look at the new recycling signs when they arrive and use them as a guide. "Wish-cycling" is as bad as throwing plastic bags in with the bottles. If it's not on the yellow list it goes in the red bin...

Lots of slippery roads out there at the moment, and combined with speed, bad things happen. We all know the Star Trek song with the line, "you cannot change the laws of physics!" πŸ––πŸš€πŸ›Έ Don't take the risk. Just keep the speed down...

Did you see council has put $500,000 aside from this years budget to do yet another feasibility study on the cableway? This one is the cultural, economic and indigenous impact study if we recall correctly. Make sure you check it out online and let our council know how you feel about that!

The Springbrook Community Library will be open from 1pm to 3pm tomorrow, Monday July 5th. Come and grab a few books and be prepared for the next lockdown or rainy patch!

Check out our active Facebook and Instagram communities up here. The Springbrook buy, sell and exchange is a great place to pass on your household goods. The Springbrook Community Food Growers is a good site for local gardening info. Explore Springbrook is run by the Chamber of Commerce - see what business we have up here and what they do. The Springbrook LDMC always has up-to-date info on emergencies and weather events. Great place to be in the loop with!

The Springbrook SES is looking for a few more members. They meet on Tuesday nights, 7pm to 9pm at the Shed behind the hall. Drop in and say hi and sign up if it looks like the sort of team you want to get involved with!

Weedbusters is a group that helps remove weeds from our national park and educates us on the local pest species that aren't good for our world heritage listed area. 3rd Sunday of the month. Join their insta and fb pages and stay in the loop.

The next SMCA meeting is the 3rd Wednesday of this month, July 21st, as we were trying to avoid the Origin game. (Whenever and where ever it is this time) Should have more tip info by then. Come along and find out what's happening!
